As the Assistant Director of Development, Emily Abbott is responsible for planning The Quell Foundation’s annual fundraising events, managing The Quell Foundation’s Scholarship Program, as well as maintaining and cultivating donor relationships. Emily is one of The Quell Foundation’s first-ever recipients of the Fighter Scholarship, awarded to students with a diagnosed mental health condition. Emily’s drive to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness stems from her personal struggles managing her mental health. She hopes that by sharing her story and encouraging others to do the same, she can help strive for a world where mental health is seen as health.
Emily received her undergraduate degree in Political Science as well as her Master’s in Business Administration from Clark University.
