Amber Chembars Meyerl of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, joined our team in June of 2023 as the Executive Director of The Quell Foundation. Bringing with her a number of eclectic work experiences, Amber has spent years working within the behavioral health field.
Amber’s history includes working with children and adolescents (in the school, home, community, court, and treatment facility settings), facilitating individual and group therapy, administering behavioral health assessments, leading community-based programs for adults with co-occurring intellectual and mental health disorders, and most recently, creating and facilitating competency restoration education for adults involved in the criminal justice system.
Amber’s passion is in promoting mental health and access to care, developing relationships, and collaboratively building and expanding programs that yield positive outcomes and lasting impacts on the local communities. Amber graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and earned her Master of Science in Education for Community and Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (OH) and a Licensed Behavior Specialist (PA).
